• Body: where you actually list the similarities and differences of your subjects; the largest section
• Conclusion: where you wrap up and summarize your points

To whom it may concern: (좀더 formal) 한줄 반드시 띄기. 혼자 한 단락.

아는 사람: Greetings (근황 인사) + 글쓴 목적

body의 시작은 상황 설명, 레터에서는 시간 순서, 원인과 결과는 원인 먼저, 결과 나중. 술술 읽을 수 있게 

My wife and I made a reservation at your restaurant last Tuesday evening. (사건 시작) From the moment we arrived, we received mediocre service.
* the moment는 스스로 접속사 될 수 있음. 내가 도착했던 순간에... 부사절을 이끌 수 있는 접속사임.
* mediocre 미지근한, 그저그런

We had to wait 30 minutes before getting a table and once we did, the service did not improve. 
* Finally, I got a table
* improve 개선되다, ~을 개선하다( 자/타 다 됨)

It felt like we were waiting all night for the next course of our meal. We both ordered steak but they were both overcooked and chewy. 
*steak는 단수/복수 둘 다 가능. steaks도 맞고, 각자 하나씩 먹기 때문에 단수취급 가능. 
* 면은 chewy 쫄깃쫄깃, 고기 overcooked 뒤에서는 질기다

I told the server that we were not happy with the steak, but he said there wasn't anything he could do about it because it was so busy.

 

I asked to speak to the manager, but he also told me that he was not available. When he brought the dessert, chocolate ice cream, it was completely melted, like it had been sitting out for a while.

At that point, my wife and I were exhausted from the experience, so we just paid the bill and left as soon as we could.
